This is for intermediate and advanced middle school riders who do not want to race. Through a series of skills drills, free riding and games, riders learn bike handling skills and safe riding techniques as they explore the local woods of Manchester-by-the Sea. Meeting place is at the Gordon College Woods trail head opposite the Manchester Transfer Station where Pine Street becomes Chebacco Road. For exact location, in your maps app, enter “Manchester Transfer Station, 201 Pine St, Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA 01944”.

My son Devin absolutely loves these classes! He started with the beginning classes the summer after 3rd grade and progressed to the intermediate/advanced class. He took as many classes as he could could throughout 4th and 5th grade and now will be on to the next level as he enters 6th grade. Devin has gained so much confidence and skill from working with Val. He has really progressed as a rider. She is a wonderful instructor who is great at challenging the kids safely within their ability and comfort level. He even participated in the mountain biking racing team Spring 2022 for the first time and had a great experience. Devin loves mountain biking and enjoys the camaraderie of riding with the other kids.. This is by far his favorite activity and as soon as one class ends, he begs me to sign him up for the next one.
